Since 2002 Drew has been a Teaching Artist all over the northwest working with Seattle Public Schools, Evergreen State College, Red Eagle Soaring, Freehold, S.E.E.D., T.R.I.B.E.S., Broadway Bound, Second Story Rep, Rainier Valley Youth Theatre and Open Door Theatre.
Teacher Bio
Since he was a teenager, Drew has taught and worked with children. He began with volunteering during High School with the Camp Orkila's Leadership Development Program, then onto working at his dormatory’s Day Care at Western Washington University in Bellingham Washington. Also during college he became a camp counselor at Camp Collins in Gresham Oregon for two summers. After graduating with his BA in Theatre Arts he moves back home to Seattle were he started working as a Substitute Instructional Assistant in Seattle Public Schools for 5 years . For the past 24 years Drew has been a Theatre Teaching Artist, teaching Beginning Acting, Improv, Shakespeare and Play Writing with such organizations as T.R.I.B.E.S., Broadway Bond, Second Story Rep., S.E.E.D., Rainier Valley Youth Theatre, Northwest Indian College and Evergreen State College's Native Pathways Program. Drew spent two proud years teaching with Red Eagle Soaring - A Native American Youth Acting Troop. One day he hopes to start his own After School Multicultural Theatre Program.
Drew is currently teaching Beginning Voice Over independently and with Freehold Theatre Studio.
